Full definition
A lead buyer is any person or organization that receives leads from a distribution system and works them toward conversion. Buyers can be internal sales reps, external agents, brokers, or partner companies purchasing leads on a per-lead or subscription basis. In a well-configured distribution platform, each buyer has a profile that includes capacity (how many leads they can absorb per day, week, or month), working hours (when they're available to work leads), tag preferences (which lead types they want), and a priority or weight for distribution. Buyers receive leads through the platform and typically get notified by email, SMS, or a webhook to their CRM. Good platforms let buyers pause themselves when overloaded and let admins adjust capacity without pausing the whole rotation.
